Conor Hanratty is a theatre director from Dublin, Ireland. After gaining a BA at Trinity College in Dublin and an MA at Royal Holloway in London, he spent two years at Waseda University in Tokyo, during which time he interned with the Japanese director Yukio Ninagawa. He then spent two years working in Ireland with various theatre companies, before presenting an acclaimed production of Camus‘ Caligula at the Fringe Festival in 2007 and the Dublin International Theatre Festival in 2008. He currently lives in Los Angeles, where he is completing an MFA in Theatre Directing at UCLA. In 2021 he staged three famous operas in Cork Opera House.
